Role Description
As a Travel Manager, you will lead a small highly collaborative and fast-paced team to execute trips for clients from conception to completion, including correspondence with suppliers and concierges, booking of all details, and constantly communicating and collaborating with the team and the client.
You will take a management role, overseeing junior staff and working as a liaison with the team’s independent contractors.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable – no challenge is too big for you. Your communication skills are top-notch and you have ample experience being client-facing and communicating over the phone and email in a professional manner. You are committed to cultivating a culture that values teamwork, integrity, exceptional customer service, and a shared enthusiasm for travel.
You are well-versed in working with luxury hotels, first and business class air, DMCs, villa suppliers, trains, etc. You have a sophisticated understanding of a high-end consumer's lifestyle and travel trends and have a demonstrated ability to deliver a great client experience.
3+ year experience in the travel agency/independent travel advisor, hotel, or executive assistant industry required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Handle execution of all trip booking details from hotels to transfers to train and more
Work directly with hotels, villa suppliers, DMCs, and the air team
Build detailed and comprehensive travel itineraries
Manage the calendar of client trips
Work with each hotel to VIP the client’s stay
CRM organization
Manage junior staff and act as a liaison to independent contractors
Onboard and train new hires and independent contractors
REQUIREMENTS:
Based in North America and are willing to work Eastern Time Zone hours
3+ years of experience in luxury travel either as an independent travel advisor or travel company employee, in the hotel industry, or as an executive assistant
Comfortable working on dozens of trips at once
Experience working with large amounts of data and staying organized using a CRM
Willing to work after hours and weekends during busy seasonal periods and when client issues arise
Have an understanding of a high-end consumer's lifestyle and travel trends
Excellent verbal and written communications and can multitask easily
Strong time management skills
Tech-savvy; proficient with MS Office
Strong work ethic and able to identify opportunities to take on more

Responsibilities
Work on a team of advisors with an exceptional group of high-end travelers as your clients
Collaborate with your team to research destinations, activities, dining experiences and more
Handle execution of all trip booking details from hotels to transfers to reservations and more
Collaborate with your team on research and recommendations for travel itineraries
Create client travel documents
Maintain client database
Assist with trip invoicing
Coordinate team newsletter
Flexibility to assist team with what is needed
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Professional writing style for client emails
Detail-oriented
Willing to put in the extra time and effort
Strong time management skills and ability to switch between tasks easily
Feels comfortable in high stress situations
Enjoys working as part of a team, and flexible to help where needed
Team player, able to work collaboratively and within groups
Proficient in MS Office and tech-savvy
Compensation
15 hours per week, with ability to move into a full-time position with insurance and travel benefits
Top-end of the market compensation package based on experience
